Death benefit Insurance is available to members at their own discretion. In the case of members’ at Slane Credit Union, adult members have cover of €3,250 and juveniles have cover of €1,000 which will pay out at death. Whilst the pay-out can be used for any purpose, in most cases it is used to cover funeral expense. The cover simply offers peace of mind that all such expenses will be covered and that no family member or other person will have to fund such costs in what already be a difficult time.
